Dr. Michael
Kryzanek is
Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Bridgewater State University. He
previously served as department chair, helped launch the Master of Public
Administration program, and later directed the Minnock Center for International
Engagement. He also served as Academic Director of the U.S. State Department’s
Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Dr. Kryzanek is the author of eight
books on U.S. foreign policy and American politics and continues to teach at
Bridgewater State’s Senior College. His recent post, “Venezuela, Trump and the

Dr. Sidita
Kushi is
Assistant Professor of Politics at Mount Holyoke College and a non-residential
fellow with the Military Intervention Project at The Fletcher School, Tufts
University. Her research focuses on U.S. military intervention, intrastate
conflict, and political economy. She is the author of Dying by the Sword (Oxford
University Press, 2023) and the forthcoming From Kosovo to Darfur (University
of Michigan Press, 2025), with work published in leading international
relations journals.
The panelists will offer
brief remarks outlining the background and key issues surrounding the War on
Venezuela, followed by an extended, audience-driven Q&A and open
discussion. The event is designed to encourage active participation and
